You may often find yourself wondering, who is the mastermind behind Goughland? You have come to the right place. This is a short bio about the ruler of that magical place, Goughland.

Gough was born in 19XX in southern California, where he basked on the beaches in the warn California sun (when he wasn't in the hospital oxygen tent from the smog).

Moving to Cameron Park, CA when he was 6 years old he became a "rugged outdoorsy" type, as far as three wheeled bike would take him. "Big Whee,l" the original ATV.

Gough attended Buckeye Elementary, Brooks Elementary, Camerado Middle School (had Mr. Mellor, by the way) and graduated from Oak Ridge High School

Following his preparatory education, the ruler of Goughland studied at a variety of colleges and universities. Sacramento State University, Ohio State University, Golden Gate Theological, Chapman Universtiy, Wheaton College, Cal Hayward, and the University of LaVerne, to name a few.

He currently holds a BA, MA, MS, and most of an MEd.

He taught Social Studies at both Oak Ridge High School and Ponderosa High School for 8+ years and was also the Student Activities Director at Oak Ridge for 4+ years.

Gough also taught at Shenandoah High School, a Charter school in the Big Picture model.

Currently Gough works with insight Schools in the department of Social Studies. He teaches with insight's iSucceed Virtual School out of Boise, ID. He also teaches Education Technology courses with Chapman Universtiy (Brandman) and supervises Student Teachers.

Outside of the classroom Gough works as a consultant testing online courses and evaluating online teaching programs, and serving on committee with WASC as an Education Technology specialist. Recently he wrote a technology based World History curiculum for a nationwide online high school.

In his "spare time," Gough is the Youth Ministry Team Director at Lakehills Church in El Dorado Hills, CA.

Gough is interested in many things: Education Technology, Ancient History, Archaeology, Geography (Geo-History), Native American Cultures, MesoAmerican peoples, Theology, Ethnography, Classic Automobiles, most things Facebook, and all things Frank Sinatra.

Gough's research interest is primarily in the field of Education. His most recent ponderance is focused around the question, "How can online education be helpful in individualizing and expanding traditional brick and motor educational institutions?"
